Hrachya Vardanyan
The art, where I see my existence, is about the world - where we don’t have separation between inner and outer realities, between inside and outside_ it is the world where the seeing is realized within the reality: I am looking for the artistic ‘flesh’, which is able to exist in this united world. Natural surfaces and structures are the most ancient and experienced media coming from the times of our origin. They transform themselves endlessly and they are able to become this flesh, the bridge between the inside and the outside.
Hrachya Vardanyan was born in 1987. He lives and works in Gyumri, Armenia.
Education
2005-2010 Yerevan Institute of Fine Arts, Gyumri Branch , Armenia.
Obtained a Master's degree in Fine Arts, focus: hand-made bookmaking.
Residencies
2017, March- June, Neubruck, Austria ”Crossing Spaces-Scheibbs meets Armenia”, pilot art-residency project in development of Armenian-Austrian cultural connections,
realized in Neubruck Toepperschloss and Old Paper Factory.

Haystack Mountain School of Crafts: session Textile/Surface Design with Prof. Mary Anne Jordan, educational project supported by “Luys” Foundation.
2013, April Mallorca, Spain
“Mallorca Translocal Meeting”: an artists’ initiatives meeting involved Pilari Joan Miro foundation for the conference and outside installations, exhibition at the Casal Can Gelabert cultural center of Binissalem.
